🦠Poison Jungle

History

This relentless land was once filled with lush trees, green flora, home to millions of large and small creatures. Humans would call the regions as the earth's lungs. But human greed and the need for expansion did not protect it from destruction and defilement. The lands were sacked for resources, its creatures were either exterminated or exploited as material. Once the lands were reduced to plane dirt, corporations established new dumping grounds for their chemical waste. After humanity had left the earth, plants and creatures eventually returned to these lands. However, these were no longer the lush green jungles - the damage had already been done.

Plants and creatures mutated to the extremes and adapted to their new environment. Anything that lives or grows here is extremely poisonous or deadly. Everyone and everything is hunting for survival and is being hunted in reverse. Colonists eventually returned and settled here by establishing protective dome cities and camps. They seek knowledge on how the creatures managed to adapt and seek to terraform these regions. For that colonists send constant expeditionary forces into the toxic jungles. However, not all of them return. They either get lost and are hunted down by the wild or the natives.
